Dr. Jessica Cech is an active performer and teacher living in Linden, Michigan. As a founding member of the prize-winning Davanti Trio, Jessica enjoyed giving performances throughout the Midwest; Ontario, Canada; and Lyon, France. In 2008, the trio won Third Place in their division during the International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition held in Boston. For many years, Jessica has been a featured artist in the Flint Institute of Music’s Chamber Music Series. As a solo artist, she has performed in several recital series’ in the Southeast Michigan region. In April 2015, Jessica performed the Gordelli Flute Concerto with the Lapeer Symphony Orchestra. During the fall of 2015, she performed the first movement of the Mike Mower Flute Concerto with the University of Michigan-Flint Wind Symphony, as well as the Doppler Andante and Rondo for Two Flutes with the University of Michigan-Flint Chamber Strings. She has performed in the Flint, Lansing, Traverse City, West Michigan, and Jackson Symphonies.

Jessica holds faculty positions at the University of Michigan-Flint and the Flint School of Performing Arts. She has also served on the faculties of Spring Arbor University and the Michigan State University Community Music School. Active in the flute community, Jessica is frequently asked to adjudicate high school and young artist competitions in Southeast Michigan and has served on the Executive Board of the Southeast Michigan Flute Association as Secretary. During the summer of 2009, Jessica was invited to be the visiting flute instructor at the Conservatoire de Limonest in Limonest, France.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wyoming, a Master of Music degree from Bowling Green State University, and received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Michigan State University.
