lIt is my opinion
that it is imperative that all schools enlarge a Technology Vision Statement that reflects a shared vision for learning.
lI recommend that
principals, and other leaders of learning, be supported to actively lead the integration of technology in their
schools.
lAll staff needs
access to technical support that facilitates their effective use of computers.
lA whole school
approach to the integration of technologies which incorporate a range of strategies to actively involve the whole school
community in the process of integration
is the best approach.
l I recommend that teachers with advanced
pedagogical skills, who already competently
use technology to achieve existing curriculum goals, state standards, and benchmarks, be chosen for enhanced professional
development that supports their
use of technology based learning and develops their capacity to mentor colleagues.
lSchools should be
encouraged and supported to make provisions for mentors and mentored to work together on developing and co-teaching
integrated curriculum ideas.
lTeachers need to practice and attempt to describe in
greater detail how they attempt to
integrate learning with technology.
Teaching with technology should be embedded within a broader focus of quality teaching and
learning that provides opportunities
for teachers to reflect upon their approaches to teaching and the nature of learning.
