Reasons for increased integration of technology
*Math & Science? No cross curriculum!
*Microsoft and other applications
*Integrating technology
What needs to be done
*Institutions need to listen to what the business world is asking for.  We need more technology literate workers if you can’t produce them, we will be forced to look elsewhere.
*More Co-ops, even mandatory work-study
*Teach technology used by industries
*Work with industries to develop instructional programs
“While math and science teachers are more likely to use technology as a part of their curriculum, teachers in other areas are less aware of resources and potential applications of technology for their subjects.”  In this section, I will look at coarse offering and the technology associated with all classes as it applies to real world applications.  Specifically, I  looked at the business world and in job searches Microsoft Office was everywhere.  So it seems that Microsoft Office programs are a necessity to know if you want to succeed in the business world. The University of Michigan-Flint offers classes in most all applications in Microsoft Office, and has recently began promoting Microsoft Office Specialist Certification. Carman-Ainsworth also offers classes in Microsoft Software, but at a less in-depth level.
