As I reflect upon my experiences I will focus on the Interstate Standards for Leadership L Consortium’s six standards

 

An education leader promote= s the success for every student by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by all the stakeholders.

 

   &nbs= p;        During development of competencies I collaborated with; teachers,  the After-school Site Coordinator,= the Federal Grants Program Coordinator, Academic Quality Controllers (AQC’= ;s), Student Management Coordinators (SMC’s), the Student Life Administrat= or, and the school Director to implement a shared holistic vision.  Together we analyzed budgets, look= ed at standardized test scores, analyzed organizational effectiveness, and used d= ata to promote organizational learning in many ways. For every competency,  I coll= aborated to create and implement a plan to achieve goals and objectives, promote con= tinuous improvement through reflection, and evaluate progress to revise plans.

 

An education leader promote= s the success of every student by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.

 

   &nbs= p;        This clinical experience helped me promote collaboration, trust, learning, and higher expectations as various stakeholders saw my commitment to student and staff learning as a school culture of grow and understanding. Through curriculum development of the after-school program, evaluating instruction practices with administrators to create a motivating learning environment, = and working in a committee to develop a school improvement plan, I have helped nurture = the seeds of success with my peers.

 

An education leader promote= s the success of every student by ensuring management of the organization, operat= ion, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.

 

   &nbs= p;        I looked at the Student Management System (SMS) to obtain data and used technological resources to help analyze our school environment. Through the various competencies, I developed a greater capaci= ty for distributing leadership and working with others than I had previously. Students and staff are seeing my leadership activities in at multiple events before, during, and after school.

 

An education leader promote= s the success of every student by collaborating with faculty and community member= s, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing communi= ty resources

 

            An understanding, appreciation, and use of a community’s diverse cultura= l, social, and intellectual resources are vital to sustaining positive relationships with families and caregivers.  These community partners have in t= urn seen my commitment to education and the community through my involvement in community activities and reaching out to parents and other stakeholders.

 

An education leader promote= s the success of every student by acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethi= cal manner.

 

            This experience has helped to reinforce the model principles of transparency, ethical behavior, and reflective practice.=   At many times, I was privy to materials of a sensitive nature.  An administrator must use private = information in a public atmosphere very ethically.&nbs= p; The integrity of an administrator is judged not just by what they do, but by what they say, and who they say it to. Students and staff alike have found inspiration in my accountability for academic and social success.  I have displayed a “never gi= ve up” attitude and affirmed my commitment to the values of equality, eq= uity, and diversity.  I consider the= moral and legal consequences of decisions regarding social justice and student ne= eds, and I have learned to seek help with regards to legal matter from a legal expert whenever there are questions.

            My experiences during my clinical experience have led me to become more involv= ed in my local, district, state, and national organizations that affect student learning.  I see the trends in technology, and seek to become an influential supporter of leadership strategies with regards to technology, student achievement, and administrat= ive applications.   It is my continuous goal to be an advocate for children, families, and education.  Using the leadership strategies th= at I have gained as a student of public administration, I can continue to increa= se student achievement, nurture a culture of learning, and
