What exercising/working out means to me
When I was 17 years old, a senior
in high school, I decided that I wanted to really be serious about working out
and stay committed to the gym. This means I would be working out 6/7 days a
week, eat right, and get at least eight hours of sleep at night if not more.
With this specific regimen, there were sacrifices that would have to be made.
Those sacrifices would be not staying out late with friends if I had something
going on early in the morning, not drinking any pop/soda (even though I love an
ice cold Pepsi), not eating a lot of junk food, and knowing that around two
hours of my day would be taken up each day to working out.
After two years of this strict schedule, I was able to get even stronger and I
put on 55 pounds that was all muscle. Today I am continuing this strict workout
schedule and I would never go back. Wanting to workout is not only a
commitment, but it is a change of lifestyle. Not only you need to be committed
to the gym, but you also need to get proper nutrition, and proper sleep to get
the most out of your “gains” in the gym. To anyone that is thinking about getting
in and really committing to the workout routine, I would say go for it. It will
change your life and health for the best!
