Microsoft is the newest and youngest to join the group as they joined the console gaming arena in 2001, a full seven years after Sony. They have been leading in console sales since they launched the Xbox 360, this console generation, and have stayed on top since its launch. Microsoft can boast that while thier online service is subscription based unlike Nintendo's and Sony's, that they provide the best service and a much higher quality of service. They have the most players and to an extent the best games on this console. Xbox has unfortunetly the least amount of exclusives but they have industry changing Halo, Gears of War and origonally, Mass Effect. Which are some of the best game series that came out in the past 10 years give or take a few. They will be announcing their newest console on May 21st, 2013 and heres hoping that they refocus on the gamer. The past few years they have been gunning to make the Xbox the center of the living room by making it a media hub unlike anything besides the PC. They have been pretty successful but honestly thats not why most people buy the Xbox, its a gaming console first and formost and heres hoping they remember that with the new one.
